To decrypt a single file
-
If you have your key in a removable media, connect the removable media to your computer.
Select the file that you want to decrypt.
Double click on the file
If you changed the location of your key in recent times, Keygloo will ask you to provide the path of the new location. Enter the new path and click 'OK'.
Keygloo will now ask you to provide the password for your key. This is the password you gave during installation. Provide it now and click 'OK'. If you chose to use the default password during installation, this step will not occur.
-
Keygloo will now proceed with decryption. If the decryption is successful, the decrypted file will display its original extensions and icons.
You can also encrypt any file to directly send it by email to a friend. If you choose this option, the file will be encrypted and sent as attachment through your default email client. This option does not leave a copy of the encrypted file. Also, the original plaintext file remains intact.
